Ontario Regional Common Grounds Alliance (ORGCA)
ORGCA is leading Ontario to enhance safety through the collaborative prevention of damage to underground infrastructure. ORGCA is a growing organization with over 530 organizations as active members and sponsors and represent a wide cross section of stakeholders.
Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario
The Occupational Health and Safety Act sets out the rights and duties of all parties in the workplace. Its main purpose is to protect workers against health and safety hazards on the job. The Act establishes procedures for dealing with workplace hazards, and it provides for enforcement of the law where compliance has not been achieved voluntarily.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) oversees Ontario’s workplace safety education and training system, provides disability benefits, monitors the quality of health care, and assists in early and safe return to work.

Ontario Ministry of Labour

Established in 1919 to develop and enforce labour legislation, the Ministry of Labour’s mission is to advance safe, fair and harmonious workplace practices that are essential to the social and economic well-being of the people of Ontario. Through the ministry’s key areas of occupational health and safety, employment rights and responsibilities, and labour relations, the ministry’s mandate is to set, communicate and enforce workplace standards while encouraging greater workplace self-reliance. The Ministry also develops, coordinates and implements strategies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses and can set standards for health and safety training.
